Why Choose Us

Little Poppins has been operating since 2011 and has carefully established a team of over 200 experienced carers, all of whom we have personally interviewed and screened. All of our carers are required to have a Senior First Aid certificate, a Working With Children Check, Child Safe Environment Training and two child care related references, in addition to study in a related discipline as required. Accordingly, all of our Educators, Nannies, Support Workers, Babysitters and Mother’s Helpers have experience in caring for children, have the relevant qualifications and experience to safely and expertly provide in home care, education and support to children.
Little Poppins is also an approved In Home Care Service provider through the Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board of South Australia and adheres to the South Australian Standards for In Home Care Services.  This means that approved families may be able to claim the Child Care Subsidy for having a Little Poppins’ Educator provide care for their child/ren in their own home.
Little Poppins only employs quality carers (over 18 years) who have experience in a child-care related industry and who are enthusiastic and passionate about the education, care and development of children.  All carers are covered by Little Poppins’ Insurance Policy so you can have complete peace of mind while they work in your home.
Little Poppins works closely with families to ensure their children are perfectly matched to a compatible Nanny, Educator or Support Worker with whom the children feel happy and safe, and who provides high quality early learning.
Little Poppins believes trust and consistent open communication between parents and carers is non-negotiable and vital to ensuring a gratifying relationship between parents, children and carers.
Little Poppins offers the advantage of one-on-one care in your home, in familiar surroundings and established family routines. Beyond the obvious restrictions of a child-care center, your children will enjoy learning opportunities through social interaction on outdoor excursions e.g. trips to the shops, walking the dog, playing in the park, road safety awareness, social graces, appreciation of nature, etc.
Little Poppins’ Educators, Nannies, Support Workers and Babysitters are advocates for fun, creative pursuits, physical safety, consistency in discipline and routine, healthy nutrition, punctuality and at all times, the children’s wellbeing.
Little Poppins’ Educators, Nannies, Support Workers and Babysitters are committed to supporting parents in monitoring and encouraging their children’s healthy progress at different ages and levels of physical, social and mental development.
Little Poppins’ Educators, Nannies, Support Workers and Babysitters are respectful, flexible, perceptive and skilled in adapting and responding to different children’s needs, family ethics and conventions.
